On Tuesday, Dhoni said “I just said my statement. The best thing about statements is, you can assume it the way you want to”.”If u have better man for this job then replace me” said Dhoni.
Facing severe criticism for his unimpressive captaincy and performances in Test cricket, under-fire Mahendra Singh Dhoni has offered to quit the leadership role in the longer format of the game if the Board of Control for Cricket in India feels there is a better replacement waiting in the wings.

“Its captaincy doesn’t belong to anyone. This is a position I hold, and he added responsibility. I always like to do well till I am in job, but it’s not something I want to stick to. ”At the end of the day, you want India to perform. If there is someone who can do a better job, captaincy should be given to him. It’s not something you have to cling on to,” said Dhoni.
This is not posioning to belong any one. When the resposiblity was given to me around three and half year later I performed well whrever I hav to play..
Under Dhoni, India won the Twenty20 (2007) and 50-over World Cups (2011) and became the top-ranked test nation before the team’s spectacular decline started in England last year.
Actually, team didn’t win a single match on that tour, loosing the test sereis 4-0 and further humiliation awaited them in Australia.
“I definitely feel that Dhoni does not enjoy test cricket,” his former captain Sourav Ganguly recently told Aaj Tak channel.
Ganguly also added that His performance in test and one-day cricket are poles apart and by making such a statement, he has also perhaps explained his complete disinterest in the longer format of the game.
