London Olympics 2012: Yogeshwer Dutt 

Yogeshwar Dutt  won Bronze medal. There is again a good news for India from London Olympics 2012. Today Yogeshwar Dutt won bronze medal for India in 60 kg category, as he beat North Korean Jong Myong Ri in play off match.Yogeshwar bounced back in style against the Iranian despite losing the first period 3-0. Yogeshwar won the second period 3-2 and was unstoppable in the third period winning it 4-0.

Yogeshwer Dutt started wrestling from a very young age of 8 years. His inspiration was Balraj Pehlwan who was from his native village and he was trained under the guidance of coach Ramphal. He shot to fame on the international wrestling arena in 1999 by winning gold at World Championship. Before London Olympic 2012 Yogeshwer Dutt has won four other medals, in which three was Gold medal and one was bronze medal.He finally beat his North Korean opponent to win the bronze with a great effort (0-1, 1-0, 6-0).In the last round,he was exceptional and clinched the round in a minute.

Yogeshwar’s medal hopes rekindled as he qualified for the repechage round of the men’s 60kg wrestling event after Kudukhov, who had defeated the Indian in the pre-quarterfinal, made it to the title round. So now Yogeshwer Dutt now has won bronze and 5th medal for India.  Before this match, India has won 3 Bronze medals and 1 Silver medal.Well done Yogeshwer Dutt (Yogi) and congratulation.
