Marissa Mayer long time executive for Google, Now CEO of Yahoo! Inc

Yahoo appointed its new chief executive Marissa Mayer, who previous worked longtime for Google on Monday 16 July 2012.Marissa joined Google in1999 she was 20th number employee and also first female engineer for 13 years.

Marissa MayerShe was part of the Google since last 13 years. Her designations in Google were engineer, designer, product manager and executive. She held key roles in Google Search, Google Images, Google Books, Google Product Search, Google Toolbar, iGoogle, Google News and Gmail. Marissa was Vice President of Local, Maps, and Location Services during her final years with Google and also she previous was Vice President of Search Products and User Experience.

She have no experience of executive-level, because of her obvious technical knowledge, in September Mayer also oversaw the acquisition of the Zagat review guide.

Marissa who is USA native born in Wausau, Wisconsin she completed her High School fromMarissa MayerMarissa Mayer Wausau West High School in 1993, she was then selected by governor of Wisconsin Tommy Thompson as one of the state’s two delegates to attend the National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia. Marissa Mayer is of Finnish descent.

Mayer graduated with a degree B.S. with honors from Stanford University in symbolic systems and also got M.S. in Computer Science. By having both degrees, she specialized in artificial intelligence. Mayer granted an honored doctorate degree by the Illinois Institute of Technology because of her hard work in the field of search.

She married Zach Bogue in 2009. In June it was first time when she disclosed her pregnancy to Yahoo board and also said they are expecting a baby boy in October 2012.She doesn’t seem to think the pregnancy will have much effect on her first year at Yahoo.
