The World Cup hero and Indian all rounder Yuvraj Singh is ready for Twenty 20 after battling with cancer this young one will be seen in two match series against New Zealand on Saturday.
30-year-old Yuvraj Singh who underwent for chemotherapy in March and April in the USA to treat a rare germ-cell tumour between his lungs which was diagnosed late last year.
Last year Yuvraj was awarded Man of the Match in the World Cup, but he missed competitive cricket two home test against the West Indies last November.
But Yuvraj recalled by the selecters as soon as he was declared fit by the doctors at the National Cricket Academy in Banglore where he had light training in July.
Yuvraj said “It is hard to believe that I will be playing for India again.”
“A few months back I had trouble climbing four steps, now I can’t wait to take the field. It is like starting a new life.” Said Harbhajan Singh.
“Now this is what we call a comeback,” said Harbhajan. “There can’t be a bigger inspiration in cricket than Yuvi. It is a privilege to be back in the dressing room with him.”
The first match on Saturday in Vishakhapatnam and the second will be played in Chennai.
The New Zealand are hoping to end their Indian tour on a high by winning the Twenty20 games after beaten with 2-0 in the recent Test series.
“We are here to win but whatever happens we have to make sure we learn from the series because it’s great preparation,” Oram said.
